Works on Paper
The ink gestures are created using the Zen meditative practice known as Hitsuzendo, the 'way of the brush'. They are created using a large brush loaded with ink, in a spontaneous gesture.
The deep sea images illustrate a yearning to re-capture the innocence of our pre-lingual existence and our earliest consciousness- before language, before culture.
